GENRE 101

Genre 101 is essential to learn for an aspiring newcomer to the screenwriting forum. 

Most people watch film and if you were to ask them "What genre is this film?" they would probably be able to tell you very basic information such as: Romance, a War story, Action or Thriller. However, it is so much more nuanced than that, which well-versed screenwriters/or Producers will take into consideration. They have a way of sniffing out 'Rookies'. So if you want to pitch your story and get funded or a Distribution deal - know your stuff - and this course is essentially for you.
